Workers’ Characteristics of Hearing Loss at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Indonesia

This study aimed to analyze the characteristics and factors of worker behavior, including age, use ear protection, work duration, a record diabetes mellitus or hypertension, rotation, noise hazards involved in hearing loss PT. X at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Indonesia. A cross-sectional from May 2017 June 73 workers power service area (TZ Unit) exposed levels <85 dBA ≥85 dBA, using an audiometry test for Sound Level Meter was conducted. The Chi-square showed significant correlation between age (OR 8.4, 95% Cl = 1.6-44.1), duration 7.6, 0.9-67.2), protection 7.8, 1.4-44.2) with area. multivariate analysis revealed that level 85 had 1.7 times greater risk than after controlling medical history, rotation.
